about

Adalperga, daughter of King Desiderius, was the victim of a sad story. It seems that she gave birth to a son who died soon after; historically this thing seems to have struck her so much that she voluntarily handed herself over to the hands of the French and probably died or was used as a bargaining chip; we are not sure if the son was stillborn or killed by rival soldiers. In any case, the story that is told tells the story differently. Destroyed by the loss of her son Romualdo it is said that the future queen, who never became, completely lost her mind and that as a result of forbidden rituals or the disfavor of some superior entity, after drops of her mother's milk fell into the Ticino, the water turned into a milky stream from which a sort of doppelganger of the child came out. Driven by sheer evil he took his mother by the hand and took her to hell leaving her with her dead relatives.

lyrics

Al frèd cadavar ad Romuald 's ricorda'ncura quänd l'éra'mmó cäld
I manèi chi'èn strèt, bèi sald
La régina Adalpèrga co'la pél biänca 'cla par'd giass
A'la camina ad fìänc al riv
La s’ dispéra pré'l so fiö e in dü sicond ien gnü trì dì
La sa snögia é la varda l'acua
E parché màdar la pö no vès du gut ad lat i cascan giù
drit in tla lüna, in tal so riflés
Al làt che mai'l nüdrirà i so povar lavar palid
in tla so mént distürbà al Romuald sémpar vivrà
E quänd'i fnèstar as séran
Al Tisìn as tramüda int'un turént ad lat matèran.
Ma un diférént fiö al végna föra dal riv,
L'è'n fiö scür che's diferensia no d'la nöt
L'è grand tam'me'n pönt
L'è gram tam'mé'l vélén,
Lü al càta sü la madar suridént
Catanai, strupai, ch'ién'dai via
Al l'avrà vurü dabon?
In ta cal sarvèl tort
Al là porta giü, al Infèran
Co' tüt i so parént mort
La régina l'è no légénda l'è la storia
E süma bèi sicür me la matéina cänta'l gal
Iun dì tanti fat ad la végia Capital

Ga speruma é ogni dì varduma'l su

E co tüt al témp a cantaruma tüt i stori
E insima 'dla carta vargaruma tüt Pavia

Medieval black metal from the old capital
Ticinum it is a collective of wandering brigands that comes from the rivers and marshes around the city of a hundred towers. The lyrics are almost entirely written in the low Pavese dialect, a legacy of the ancient Lombard language and deal with the legendary themes of that area ... more
